How do the Japanese people sped the new year?
Companies are closed from around December 30 to January 3. Many people go home to relax with their family.
Around January 2, retailers start their first sales of the year, and the town becomes lively again.
The items on sale are mainly lucky-bags. Popular brands will have long lines waiting to buy them, and they are usually sold out quickly.
What's lucky-bag?
Have you ever seen the sale of lucky-bags in your country? Lucky-bags are like unique Japanese traditional custom where the bags contain items totaling more than the price of the bags.
However, you don't know what items are in the bags until you open it.
Every year people will share spoilers of the contents of the bags via social network. It becomes very exciting.
